Sunset at Dawn is a half hour documentary film, made by a team of African and European film makers (William Nyerere Plastow, Simon Peter Otieno, Jane Plastow and Tina Tschismarov) investigating why so many poor Kenyan women die in childbirth. Made specifically for Kenyan TV and licensed to be shown there, the regional Ministry of Health and doctors' interests have been blocking its screening.

The film draws on 18 months prior research among local communities and in Ahero hospital in western Kenya. It features the dire circumstances under which maternity nurses work and the true story of the death of a young woman and her baby refused entry to the hospital while in labour.

After the screening the film makers will be available for a Q & A session.c
