Date

LUCAS member, Dr Winnie Bedigen, is Lecturer in international development at the University of Leeds.  She recently published a new book, titled Indigenous peacebuilding in South Sudan: Delivering Sustainable Peace Through Traditional Institutions, Customs and Practices. The book explores the indigenous peace cultures of the major ethnic groups in South Sudan (Dinka, Nuer, Anuak and Acholi) and analyses their contribution to resolving the civil war.

In the Leeds African Studies Bulletin, we published a Q&A with Winnie about her book and its contribution to African studies. Please read it here.
