Leeds African Studies Bulletin

This first African Studies Bulletin covers the establishment of the Unit and developments in departments of this University during the academic year 1963-64 in which African Studies became established.
No attempt is made in this issue to cover fully developments elsewhere, but the coverage will be extended in future issues as contacts are built up. The present intention is that a Bulletin should be published twice a year.
The Bulletin will be circulated to participating departments, to members of the African Studies Group, and to interested bodies outside the University.
